On City Sewer? Add a Sewer Scope

On city sewer, the main drain line runs under the yard from the house to the street. We send a camera through it, and you get video and pictures of any roots, cracks, sagging pipe or collapsed sections.

It pays off most on an older home, where that line may be decades old and a broken pipe can mean digging up the yard.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Much Does a Septic Inspection Cost?

Our septic inspection is $495, or $890 if the septic inspector recommends pumping the tank. A sewer scope is $375, and you can add any of them in our price calculator. Call or text 828-273-7662 if you aren’t sure which one the home needs.

Is a Sewer Scope Worth It?

On an older home, usually yes. The drain line is buried, so a camera is the only way to see roots, cracks or a collapse before you own them. Fixing a broken line can mean digging up the yard, so it pays to know first.

How Do I Know If the Home Is on Septic or City Sewer?

Ask your agent or the seller first, since the listing often says. If no one is sure, call or text us and we’ll help you figure out which one the home needs before inspection day.

Can a Plumber Do a Sewer Scope?

Yes. Many plumbers run sewer cameras, and so do septic companies. Adding the scope to your AVL inspection just means one booking and one call for you, and you don’t have to line up a second company during your due diligence window.
